About CHRISTINA

Artist’s Statement:

Being naturally creative early on, my first “teaching” experience was giving art lessons to my neighborhood elementary school friends. Though on the college track in high school, I always managed to squeeze in art courses and went on to major in art in college. With a BA in Art Education and an M.Ed. in Educational Technology, I have been able to meld the best of both worlds – the creativity of the arts with the tools of technology.

Over the years I’ve taught art and facilitated workshops in schools, colleges, galleries, libraries and the like. More recently I’ve been focused on creating and exhibiting my own art.

The more I create, the more ideas I have for new directions in which my art may go. I am presently experimenting with textural effects which sometimes include the incorporation of three-dimensional objects in my paintings. I am also developing a Mandala Series that allows me to reconstruct my artworks and photographs in new symmetrical ways using the computer.

  1. Chris– Lots of inspiring work here. I especially like the tulip and palm photos, and the drawings that are on black. Beautiful forms.
